In this month’s blog we are going to take you through a few of our favorite powder rooms and show you how you can utilize big designs in your smallest spaces!
BIG & BEAUTIFUL
A unique idea for a small powder bathroom is to select wallpaper with bigger motifs rather than small, tight patterns. It’s common to think that because a powder room is a small space, it requires small, patterned wallpaper, where in reality, you can go big with your pattern without overwhelming the space! The realistic scale of the leaves in this bathroom design not only help curate the perfect tropical vibe but also immerse guests in the space.
BERRY BOLD
Be bold with your color choices. One color we love for a powder room is a deep berry! This color is rich and luxurious and perfect for saturating a small bathroom. Berry shades, especially deeper tones, also create a cozy and inviting atmosphere in a bathroom, making it feel less sterile and more like a personal sanctuary. Consider painting not only your walls but also your ceiling in your color of choice for an added dramatic effect!

Our favorite way to take your powder room wallpaper to the next level is by not just using it on the walls but also on the ceiling! Drenching a small powder room in a patterned wallpaper is the perfect way to make a big design impact and depending on the size and intensity of the pattern you choose; you can manipulate the visual depth and impact of your design.
WATERCOLOR WONDER
This powder room from our 2nd street project utilizes an abstract wallpaper and a sleek modern vanity to give this design an artistic flair! The watercolor effect and analogous color scheme create a unique, elevated atmosphere and the chic vanity provides a beautiful and simplistic contrast to the loud wallpaper.
NAVY BLOSSOM
The most successful color schemes always feature balance between cool and warm tones. This powder bathroom is color drenched in deep navy but achieves a lightness through gold accents, white floral wallpaper, and artwork. The contrast between warm toned design elements like décor, hardware, and plumbing extenuates the navy palette and lets the space really shine.
TROPICAL NOIR
When we think of bathroom designs, we often focus on wallpaper, tile, or décor, but another fun way to spice up your powder room is through your sink or toilet! This bathroom design from our Elk View home features a jet black toilet which creates a gorgeous contrast from the vibrant wallpaper.

RETRO CHIC

This retro inspired powder room is the perfect example of taking vintage inspiration and utilizing it in an updated space!

Our team loves to incorporate tactile elements like textured wallpaper to elevate designs through physical touch. This powder room from our Inside Stories office features smooth, glossy tile, textured wallpaper, and an almost coral-like mirror to create a variety of different tactile elements throughout the space.

This powder room from our Elk View project features a variety of tile, wood, and mixed metals to achieve a truly unique and visually interesting design. The various shades of copper on the backsplash tie in the sink and plumbing fixtures which leads to the design’s cohesiveness.

This bathroom from our Windy Pointe project features natural textures, colors, and materials, reminiscent of the Colorado landscape. But what makes this design really stand out is the three hanging lights that not only illuminate the vanity but give this space a modern edge.
